Well, Wii Fit is pretty much sold out everywhere. If you’re determined to get your hands (or feet) on one though, you will be able to get one on eBay. Of course, you will probably end up paying a bit more than the RRP  so if you can be patient, you’ll save money by waiting but if you need it now, click this link to see Wii Fit on eBay

I got my Wii Fit in Argos on Friday and have been using it over the weekend. My first impressions are that it seems cool, worthwhile but the fun elements are thin on the ground.  It mostly seams geared towards weight loss, with that being the only target setting option available, but if you’re near to the ideal weight there doesn’t seem to be a structured way to get a lot out of it although I guess taking regular body tests to see how your body age could be enough of a hook to keep you coming back. So far I’ve enjoyed doing the Slalom balance game and have been checking out some of the yoga exercises. As quite a big guy - size 12 feet and 6ft 3 tall - I do find that my toes overlap the edge of the balance board and it’s hard to find a space to do the yoga postures without my hands touching the ceiling.

I just reserved mine through and click and collect at my local Argos. I tried a couple of branches and they both had stock, so if you want Wii Fit today, try reserving at Argos.

Also check out Gamestation who are taking orders online. They have it as a bundle, but when you get to the checkout, you can remove the bundled items from the order although I don’t know if they will still accept the order.

Wii Fit is out tomorrow, yay! Expect it to be sold out pretty much everywhere thanks to preorders. It’s worth checking all your usual local outlets, but if you have no luck, check out these online retailers:

We’ve seen the board, but this post is a chance to take a closer look at some of the games and activities you can take part in when you are using Wii Fit. The activities include:

• Yoga exercises[4]
• Push ups[4]
• Step aerobics,
• Heading on-coming soccer balls
• A ball-rolling mini-game, which sounds like marble madness
• Hula hooping[4]
• Ski jumping,
• Jogging
• Tightrope walking
• Snowboarding

With the Wii itself, and even some of its top titles like Mario Galaxy, there’s often a problem at launch with supply being able to demand. That’s why it’s always useful to preorder, especially with landmark releases like Wii Fit. It has been announced that Wii Fit will be released in the UK on April 25th and cost £69.99. OK, like normal, we get stiffed on the price. In the US it’s $69.99 which is about £35. But hey, it looks awesome and I will be getting it for sure.

Check out this interesting review (should that be Wii-view?) of Wii Fit in The Times. They seem impressed, and the reviewer especially like the Yoga aspect.
